Ransomware is a type of malicious software designed to block access to a computer system until a sum of money is paid. Additionally, there is no guarantee hackers will release and restore compromised systems upon payment. A ransomware attack can be severely disruptive to business processes and critical functions reliant on network and system connectivity. We recommend members convene with their I.T. professionals to ensure their facility’s data is secured and proactive measures are being taken to protect your business.
