In response to growing demand from customers regarding the status of genetically modified organisms (GMO) in food ingredients and questions concerning labelling of GMO foods, the Canadian Institute of Food Science and Technology is running an information session on GMOs. The guest speakers’ presentation are entitled: “What is this technology & where it is going?”, Dr. Rene Van Acker; “What are the legalities?”, Sara Zborovski; “Where are consumer on this issue?”, Jordan Levitin.
The event will be held on October 23rd, from 8:30 am – 11:30 am, at the Corporate Event Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
