Stakeholder Engagement Webinars on Plastics Discussion Paper

Stakeholder Engagement Webinars on Plastics Discussion Paper

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) would like to engage with its partners and stakeholders on its discussion paper: a proposed integrated management approach to plastic products to prevent waste and pollution.

Collaboration with and among stakeholders across the country, is essential, particularly from those with important roles along the plastics value chain and life cycle as well as other organizations who will be impacted or have a high interest in the proposed approach to manage plastics products to prevent waste and pollution.

To help interested parties better share their insights on the proposed approach and technical aspects of the discussion paper, the department is organizing a series of six stakeholder engagement webinars (five during the comment period and one wrap-up session in January 2021).

The first and last webinars will be open to all stakeholders and registration will be on a first-come-first-serve basis up to the allowable number of participants. They will be recorded and available to watch on demand for anyone interested.

Four webinars will be technical discussions focused on specific topics within the discussion paper. These sessions are designed for a smaller number of participants to engage in targeted discussions. For those that are not able to attend, the materials from these sessions will be made available and stakeholders will be encouraged to provide direct feedback through alternative mechanisms.
