New leadership at Food and Beverage Ontario

Today, FBO welcomes Chris Conway as the organization’s new CEO. After many years of exceptional leadership, Norm Beal is stepping down to take a more active role in his business, Peninsula Ridge Estates Winery.

The transition to Chris Conway is an exciting one. Chris is a proven expert in advocacy and government relations in both the manufacturing and education sectors. He has led three associations, most recently as CEO for Career Colleges Ontario and prior to that President of Concrete Ontario, an organization that represents 80% of the concrete production in the province. Chris has over 15 years of experience in provincial government relations and began his career with a number of years on Parliament Hill. Chris has an LLB from the University of London (UK) and MBA from Queen’s University.

Norm leaves an impressive legacy for FBO as the authority on industry issues with governments and stakeholders. During his tenure, Norm established the organization as the leader in workforce development and shaped the Annual Conference into the industry’s premier event for exchanging ideas and business development. Over the last year, Norm committed himself 24/7 to solving Covid-19 challenges for processors.
