On October 6th, at the Mississauga Convention Centre in Toronto, The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI), and Maple Leaf Foods, are hosting the 7th Annual Food Safety Symposium and GFSI Focus Day. The event will provide attendees with a thorough introduction to GFSI and the added value of its approach. International and local guest speakers will present their experiences with food safety management within the GFSI framework. This Food Safety Symposium takes place just a head of the Government of Canada’s implementation of the new Safe Food for Canadians Act, impacting an estimated 80,000 food facilities and in particular small food operations across Canada. With more than 300 food safety professionals, decision makers and industry stakeholders attending, this event promises to be a unique opportunity for networking and knowledge exchange.
